Hi, my name is Lily Goodman! I am a 500-Hour Registered Yoga Instructor, YACEP, and a Usui Reiki Master/Teacher.
I received my yoga teacher training in 2022 at the beautiful Baja, Mexico campus of Yandara Yoga Institute, a Yoga Alliance certified school that has trained teachers since 2003. I trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative styles of yoga as well as Breathwork, Meditation, and Bhakti.
Yoga has been a tremendous resource for me in relieving anxiety and stress. Not only does it feel good to get your body moving through yoga, but yoga can produce powerful impacts on the nervous system.
So many of us spend the majority of our lives in the sympathetic nervous system, the network of nerves that activates the “fight or flight” response. Yoga activates the parasympathetic nervous system, the network of nerves that relaxes your body and helps run your body’s life-sustaining systems. This is a huge reason why I believe yoga has changed my life and can change other people’s lives.
I specifically enjoy teaching Yin and Restorative yoga because I feel that these styles are more conducive to activating the parasympathetic nervous system and staying in that relaxed state for longer.
I have taken continuing yoga education courses in various styles of yoga and became a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and Registered Continuing Education Provider with Yoga Alliance in 2025.
